I hear the sound of the wake and I know we have finally arrived. The ocean awaits me and I can’t wait to dip my feet in. The car door squeaks as I open it, but for once I don’t care. We are here. I see you stretching out of the corner of my eye and I can’t resist a kiss much longer.

We argued during the three hour drive here and now I can’t even remember why. Why do we ever argue? Little insecurities… hell, big insecurities! Who is going to the dishes tonight? That could be a big one too. But in this moment, it is just you, me, and the sea. What more could I possibly want? There is nothing in the world that seems out of reach when we face this vast, open space.
